Conditie-omschrijvingen: - Als Nieuw: Nauwelijks gebruikssporen, bijna als nieuw. - Goed: Kan lichte gebruikssporen vertonen, zoals wat verkleuring of een naam op de schutbladen, maar doorgaans geen onderstrepingen of aantekeningen in de tekst. - Redelijk: Boek in redelijke staat. Kan gebruikssporen vertonen, zoals verkleuring, leesvouwen in de rug, onderstrepingen, aantekeningen, lichte vervuiling aan de randen, ezelsoren of een kromme rug. - Nieuw: Boek is nieuw.
Beschrijving: The publication En Route is the seventh part in a series of photo books that the Nederlands Fotomuseum has been publishing since 2019 together with Lecturis. Along the way shows the development of Ad van Denderen as a documentary photographer from the 1960s to the present, in relation to still current social themes. In his career he has worked consistently and attentively on major and topical social issues such as apartheid, migration and geopolitical conflict. He did this in a recognizable handwriting, initially narrative and later more conceptual. Typical of Ad van Denderen’s work is the intensity with which he empathizes with others in difficult situations. He always immerses himself in his subject for a long time and focuses his camera on stories behind the daily news in the Netherlands and far beyond. His project Go No Go was acquired by the Nederlands Fotomuseum in the past and the inclusion of his archive in the collection of the museum will be finalized in the future. With a foreword by director Birgit Donker; an essay by journalist/filmmaker Bianca Stigter about his work; a contribution from photo editor/curator Jenny Smets about his working method, based on their shared experiences at Vrij Nederland; an interpretation by curator Frits Gierstberg of Ad van Denderen’s oeuvre in an international context; and stories from the photographer himself about encounters he had during his many travels.
